Boy, I sure do like this being clean!  Momma wouldn’t let me or Bingo go into the pen this morning with the other doggies, so instead we got to run around and pee on every tree there is.  That’s a lot, because we live on 250 acres of TREES!  Then she told us both to “load up” and we went bye-bye to take Daddy to work!  I was all happy and stretched out in the back seat of the truck but Beaux wouldn’t stand still or lay down, so every time he’s walk by me on the back seat I’d have to MOVE!!!  Seriously, that dog has to learn to lay down.  I understand that he likes to look out all the windows.  He looks out the girl side, then the boy side, then has to stand up and look out the back window.  He even stands with his front feet on the console between the front seats and looks out the front window.  Then he’s hopping into the passenger seat to look out that window,  I swear, if Mom would let him he would even look out the driver side window!  He would probably try to drive, too!  So, anyway, I got to go bye-bye and stay clean.  This clean thing Rocks!

I found a picture of Beaux from last night’s bath tie at Ms. Patti’s and Ms. Leda’s house.  He does NOT look happy!  I think he looks funny!!!

“All politicians stretch the truth, massaging it into the best fit with their message. But, let’s face it, John McCain is running a campaign almost entirely based on straight-up lies. Not just exaggerations or half-truths, but the sort of up-is-down mind-blowers we’ve become so accustomed to from the current occupants of the White House. Earlier this week McCain came out with a rancid, race-baiting ad based on another lie. Willie Horton looks mild by comparison. (And remember, President George H.W. Bush never ran the Willie Horton ad himself. It was an outside group. He wasn’t willing to degrade himself that far.) At least Horton actually was released on a furlough. This is ugly stuff. And this is an ugly person. There’s clearly no level of sleaze this guy won’t stoop to to win this election.”

and,

“What can we do? We’ve got a dangerously reckless contender for the presidency and a vice presidential candidate who distinguished herself by abuse of office even on the comparatively small political stage of Alaska. They’ve both embraced a level of dishonesty that disqualifies them for high office. Democrats owe it to the country to make clear who these people are.”

Today I was totally lazy and slept from 11 - 4.40! I had a few interruptions, the boy called (which is simply lovely) and a lady came to pick up some old drawers I had on freecycle. My house is so clean it’s a little bit freaky. I even got inspired to clean out my pantry today - I have a lot less food than I thought I did. Time for a big grocery shop I think. I had a nightmare that I gt kicked out of a goth shop for not looking goth enough (!!) which was ok because they were selling everything at terribly inflated prices, but then security chased me into a trailer park onto a fence where there was a shark in a swimming pool on one side and a huge boa constrictor on the other side.. My subconscious is just whack.

Today I heart:

• Strawberries that are sweet enough to not need sugar, but I pile it on anyway.
• Reading sweet little childrens books in the sunshine.
• Freecycle - I have so little junk now.
• Long distance phone calls. I miss the boy so much, but at least I get to talk to him all the time. It’s funny - after 10 years of hearing it, my heart still skips a beat when he tells me he loves me.
• Having a clean house, even if I do think “hang on, am I in the wrong house” every time I wake up.
• Lavender Oil.
• The fact that Luis Royo gives a lot of his girls back dimples.
• Back dimples in general.
