» All is well, except me
TV is in. It is great! I can quickly see that it will become one of those things that I don’t know how I lived without it. (in the same category as my laptop, DVR, double ovens, ipod) It is very big, really too big for the space, but I don’t care. It’s perfect! The sound is awesome. My favorite thing to do is play some awesome music loud and do my jobs. Well, I shouldn’t say that’s my favorite thing to do. I’ll rephrase it. Since I’ve got to do my jobs, doing them with loud music makes it much better! Can’t wait to get my ipod docking station. That will make my music selection much better!
Tupperware party was today. Despite 4 people not being able to come at the last minute, I think it went well. Everyone seemed to have a good time. Everybody bought some stuff, and 3 people booked parties. I’ll know by Friday what exactly I get out of it. Several more people need to place their order. In prepping for the party I totally cleaned out the playroom. It looks fabulous! Cleaned out the loft, ditto. The living room looks great with the bookcase actually functioning now. Still need to get art for the great room and dining room and lamps for each as well. All the glassware in the dining room is up. I did a lot, and it all looks great! I got to use Keith’s mother and grandmother’s dishes today. That made me happy. They are beautiful, and I am proud to have them! It’s hard to believe these two women who, by Keith’s accounts, had very different taste, each had very similar taste to mine (regarding dishes anyhow, I probably won’t be wearing any of their clothes anytime soon).
Speaking of wierd things. I never knew that my dad was such a fine shoe connoisseur. Because they wore similar sizes, Keith got all of my dad’s dress shoes. It was about 10 (or maybe more) pairs. Now let me give you some background. Keith’s shoe wardrobe (up until now) consisted of one black and one brown casual pair of shoes, and one black pair of dress shoes. He literally wore the casual shoes out every school year because he wore them so frequently. To now have such a plethora of shoes in his closet is shell shock. Say nothing of he has black, brown, tan, maroon, black and brown, loafers, boat shoes, and due to his own contribution, crocs. I never noticed my dad having such fancy footwear. But everytime Keith is wearing his shoes (which is almost every day now!), it sure is the first thing I notice. When I mentioned this, Keith asked me if it was bothersome, and if so, he wouldn’t wear them. But it doesn’t bother me. I like it. It makes me proud that my dad had such good style, which is something that I NEVER would’ve given him credit for 1 year ago! Keith is in shoe heaven! I’m sure his colleagues and students are appreciating not getting to look at his socks through the soles of the same old shoes every day.
So, other than I still feel like crap, life is good!
