I saw another blogger who wrote down her Summer Plans for 2008 so I’m following her lead. It’s a great idea! Have you made a list for this summer yet?

First of all, I love lists. I like to write them (because I’m forgetful). I like to check things off when they are completed, and I like to have them laying around as reminders of the important things that need to be done, said, written, etc.

So here’s my list ( in no particular order):

1. Spend more time with my family.

2. Clean out the house, closets, etc. and get rid of excess clutter.

3. Finish my cookbook.

4. Paint Darling Daughter’s bedroom.

5. Paint Wonderful Son’s bedroom.

6. Paint our bedroom & bath (and get new bedding).

7. Cook at home more.

8. Cook with fire on Hubby’s new grill more! Yum!

9. Don’t let the plants out front die from lack of water.

10. Clean out the pantry.

11. Complete all Girl Scout Scoops without forgetting a single one.

12. Get Wonderful Son’s Senior Pictures made.

13. Help http://www.Jasonmichaelnix.com get his website flowing smoothly with amazing text and word pictures that show off what a great photographer he is.

14. Help motivate Wonderful Son to finish his Eagle Project.

15. Get moving on scholarship applications, etc. for Wonderful Son (who will be a senior next year).

16. Get at least one children’s book sent off to a publisher each week for consideration.

Ok…that’s a pretty tall order for the remaining 5 weeks of summer.

But I will confess that #4 and #5 are already complete…I just put them in the list so I could look at them and think, “I’ve already accomplished 2 of the things on this list.”  But it makes me feel good to see them there so I included them.
